چکیده

Background “Ilioinguinal/iliohypogastric nerve block” (IINB) has been described as effective regional anesthetic method for providing analgesia after inguinal hernia operations. Other studies have also reported that the “posterior quadratus lumborum (PQLB) is an analgesic option lower abdominal surgeries. Herein, we compared previous two block techniques postoperative pain management in adults undergoing unilateral repair. Methods According to technique, 76 adult patients scheduled hernioplasty under general anesthesia were randomly enrolled into groups; PQLB and IINB groups. The was performed skin closure before patient extubation. Postoperative profiles recorded both groups. Results had heart rate mean arterial pressure readings during assessment other group. Pain scores showed a significant decline association with first day, which resulted pethidine consumption (49.17 vs. 70 mg group) better satisfaction. duration request significantly increased (13.25 8.42 hours group). incidence of nausea vomiting group secondary requirements. Conclusion superior repair.

Ultrasound guided posterior femoral cutaneous nerve block.

The posterior femoral cutaneous nerve (PFCN) is a branch of the sacral plexus. It needs to be implemented as a complementary block for anesthesia or in the surgeries necessitating tourniquet in the suitable cases. We consider target oriented block concept within the PFCN block in the anesthesia implementations with the emergence of ultrasonic regional anesthesia in the practice and with the bet...

Efficacy of ultrasound-guided transversus abdominis plane block for postoperative analgesia in patients undergoing inguinal hernia repair

BACKGROUND AND AIM Transversus abdominis plane block (TAP block) is a novel procedure to provide postoperative analgesia following inguinal hernia surgery. The utilization of ultrasound has greatly augmented the success rate of this block and additionally avoiding complications. The aim of our study was to gauge the analgesic efficacy of ultrasound-guided TAP block in patients undergoing unilat...

[Ultrasound guided quadratus lumborum block for analgesia after cesarean delivery: case series].

INTRODUCTION The majority of women having planned cesarean section receive spinal anesthesia for the procedure. Typically, spinal opioids are administered during the same time as a component of multimodal analgesia to provide pain relief in the 16-24h period postoperatively. The quadratus lumborum block is a regional analgesic technique that blocks T5-L1 nerve branches and has an evolving role ...
